Requirements:

Sólo puede quedar uno: Facebook - Whatsapp, Google Hangouts y Microsoft Skype.


Mucho hemos hablado en este blog de quien se llevaría el gato al agua en el mundo de la mensajería instantanea y quizás se ha pasado por alto los 3 grandes contendientes en este y en casi todas categorias que podemos denominar software social.

Los 3 monstruos en la guerra abierta son Facebook, Google y Microsoft. Os dejo mi punto de vista de cada aplicación, pros y contras a día de hoy:

1) Skype de Microsoft: (PROS: Cantidad de Usuarios activos, videoconferencia gratuita, descarga grautita, llamadas telefónicas, apps móvil mejorable)



Por antigüedad es de la que primero vamos a hablar. Microsoft compró esta empresa a sabiendas de su estabilidad, número de usuarios activos, popularidad y posibilidad de negocio que tiene esta aplicación, hasta ahora la única de las 3 que nos permite hacer llamadas de teléfono a fjos y móviles , mandar SMS chatear, videoconferencia y desde todas las plataformas móviles y tradicionales, PC y portátil.

Desde un punto de vista de usuario, Skype siempre ha sido un aplicación "guay" que nos permite hablar por videoconferencia con nuestros amigos o famliares fuera y también hacer llamadas baratas si asi nos ahorrabamos unas "pelas" de llamar con nuestro móvil a un fijo, o al extranjero. Esta es la parte positiva.

En el lado negativo, la mensajeria instantanea no ha tenido gran repercusión hasta ahora dado su peso en el teléfono y digamos el toque poco "cool" que tiene para este proposito.En comparación con su gran competidor Whatsapp.

En resumen, Skype y Microsoft tienen mucho que mejorar, pero con la experiencia del "Messenger" y el volumen de clientes de Skype seguro que es un competidor a tener bien en cuenta.No debemos olvidar que MIcrosoft tiene su propia marca de móviles, su propio sistema operativo móvil y un sin fin de aplicaciones que me llevarían otro post describir.

2) Google Hangouts antes Gtalk: (Incluido en todo teléfono Android, todo es gratis, llamadas, videoconferencia, espacio cloud...)




Poco más se puede decir de google, y es que es la aplicación perfecta, pesa poco, nunca se cae, todo es gratis, videoconferencia, llamadas, espacio en el cloud, es gratis...
Si tengo que sacarle punta a algo de esta para mi la mejor opción, es el nombre, Google Hangouts... no vende mucho verdad?Si aún no utilizas Hangouts... lo acabarás haciendo y lo sabes, que diría Julio Iglesias.

3) Facebook y Whatsapp, a pesar de tener 400 millones de clientes Whatsapp no tiene el éxito garantizado, eso si, después de que Facebook se hiciera con ella puede que ahora si sean un monstruo de las redes sociales. Aún con todo Facebook adolece de muchas cosas, por ejemplo hace unos días confirmó el cierre de su servicio de correo electrónico.


En contraste con sus competidores (Microsoft y Google) parece que Facebook va un paso por detrás, otro dato clave son las patentes que tanto Google como Microsoft tienen en telefonía gracias sus adquisiciones , Nokia y Motorola . Eso si, Facebook barre a sus contendientes Google+  y skype en número de interacciones entre usuarios y número de usuarios activos.

Algunas dudas que surgen después de la compra de Whatsapp son como van a integrarse ambas plataformas, si es que lo hacen. Y que ocurrirá con el messanger de Facebook que parece ahora no tendrá mucha razón de ser.


Con todos estos datos, nada esta claro, y quizás como hasta ahora puedas convivir las 3, iremos viendo :)

- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange concepts like Mailbox and Public Folder Databases, Mail Routing and messaging protocols, Clustering and Redundancy, performance tuning and hardware design
- Familiar with Exchange Anti-Spam, Anti-Virus, Backup solutions
- General networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and similar)
- Experience from Windows Server 2003, 2008/2008R2 and IIS6 of IIS7

Código GEEK: Presentado oficialmente Office 2013

El 29 de enero era la fecha que teníamos marcada en nuestro calendario para la llegada del Office 2013 y por supuesto el día de hoy la compañía Microsoft realizo la presentación oficial del producto.


“No se trata de una versión más de Office. Este Office 365 se ha reinventado como servicio en la Nube para los consumidores”. Expreso, Steve Ballmer.


El CEO de Microsoft se refirió al nuevo Office 365 Home Premium como una revolución en la “nube”. Una de las novedades que se esperaban es que el Office 2013 será distribuido a través de suscripciones 9,9 dólares mensuales y 99,9 dólares anuales.

El producto puede ser instalado hasta en cinco equipos, contienen la Suite de Office y además ofrece espacio en Skydrive y minutos para Skype. La compañía aposto con este nuevo producto en aumentar la productividad gracias la tecnología de la nube.

Office 2013 se encuentra disponible en 21 idiomas y puede ser adquirido desde el sitio web http://office.microsoft.com/es-hn/.

A quien no le pasado tener cientos de correos duplicados en su Microsoft Outlook, o incluso tareas, notas de calendario.
Desde la experiencia personal tengo que felicitar a los chicos que han desarrollado un software para aliviar la tediosa tarea de borrar estos duplicados. En concreto me encontre con 3400 mails duplicados, asi que me ahorre 1700 clicks y mucha vista gracias a estos chicos.
Para ello no teneis más que bajaros este aplicación: Outlook Duplicates Remover
Cuando instaleis el exe y arranqueis el software tendreis que configurar sus opciones, que son muy sencillas y faciles de entender, con unos cuantos botones check para la eleccion, aunque tambien os digo, que la opcion por defecto sera la que seguramente os valga.
Una vez elegido le dais a eleminar duplicado y zas, desapareceran de vuestra vida... bueno de vuestro outlook.


Outlook Duplicates Remover va por su versión número 5 así que os podeis fiar sin más duda.

Xbox 360 ultima gracia de Microsoft

Como no podia ser de otra manera, Microsoft se ha superado a peor, con la llegada de las navidades y la expectativa de vender miles o quien sabe millones de Xbox360 por el mundo globalizado. Se le ha ocurrido una brillante idea, no se si para tener más gancho entre los padres o simplemente para dejarle el terreno llano para que la competencia, que ahora mismo es la WII y quien sabe despues de este movimiento la PS3. El caso es que se propone poner un control paternal de las horas que los jovenzuelos dedican a la consola, el software seria como el contador que ponemos en la TV para cuando nos quedemos dormidos se apague.
Asi cuando tengamos un padre capullo y ponga 2 horas pues eso, que el pobre chaval solo podra jugar dos horas al dia.
